Ever since the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, top sports people have been using altitude training to increase their performance. Specialists in sports science nowadays favour a further development in the area of altitude training, using "live high – train low" strategies.

Anni Friesinger is ambassador for Kühtai: the star sprinter from Germany discovered her love for Kühtai and has now - since the beginning of June - sealed it for the next two years. The German speed skater will be promoting Innsbruck and its holiday villages for the Tourist Association as their advertising figurehead.
