The peak of efficient training
Whereas athletes are accommodated at an altitude of 2,020 metres in Kühtai, only light daily endurance training takes place there. Competition-level training is carried out in Innsbruck and its surrounding areas. Thanks to this innovative training strategy, it is possible – after a stay of just 14 days – to see considerable increases in stamina & performance. There is only one part of Europe that can offer such ideal training conditions: Innsbruck/Kühtai. High performance athletes, clubs, but also leisure sports enthusiasts and health addicts profit from this scientifically tried and tested training concept.
“Innsbruck/Kühtai could well develop into the leading high performance center in Europe,” says Paul Schmidt, former head national trainer of the German Light Athletics Association, as well as a former Olympic athlete. The benefits above and beyond the well known high-altitude training center in Flagstaff in the U.S. are self-evident. Short and quick access, no time zone difference and of course the opportunity to train at lower altitude and not have to drive a long way between the two spots.
