Kühtai is an unparalleled spot of sporting zest as well as a fountain of good health, the likes of which you've never seen before. Conquer it for yourself on an active summer vacation, immerse yourself into your own personal health reserve. - "Stimulating" = Kühtai's climate
The privileged location of Kühtai is also its greatest capital to further human health. This is what taking holidays at over 2000 meters altitude means to physicians: A so-called "stimulating" climate which also has beneficial effects on many ailments: cardiological, tisue, circulatory, metabolic, pulmonary illnesses, sleep disturbances and ongoing stress loads. It is equally advisable for allergy and asthma suffers, for circulatory problems and neurodermitis. - Historical country
Kühtai is a "cradle of hospitality", a spot of relaxation whose fame extends far back in history. This is the place Emperor Maximilian I loved to go hunting, after he purchased the hunting rights here in 1497. What were princely hunting excursions for "Max" are today's unforgettable adventures in crisp, clear mountain air above 2000 meters. - Fascinating panorara fixed-rope climbing route
Kühtai also offers another memorable experience: the brand new panorama fixed-rope climbing route at the Drei-Seen lift upper station, the point of departure at 2,300 meters altitude for a fixed-rope climbing route, about 20 minutes walk from the station. This fascinating construction was carefully laid out with 550 meters of steel cables, 150 steel pegs and 60 ladder-like steps, securing it for all vertigo-free, sure-footed mountain hikers with climbing equipment - an unforgettable four hours of pure enjoyment climbing in alpine terrain. The descent is on marked trails from the Pockkogel (2,807 m) down to the Finstertal Reservoir and then to a well-deserved stopover at the Drei-Seen Hut. - On the wings of the eagle
The trail along the wings of the eagle leads high up into the Ötztal Alps. It begins in Ötz, winds in a series of very attractive stages through Kühtai and finally comes to an end in Vent, at the foot of the Wildspitze, North Tyrol's highest peak. The newly laid out miners' trail connects the hiking network between Kühtai and Hochötz. Where about 350 years ago the miners hauled their ore down to the valley each day, you can take a journey into the past, visit the eagles and the miners of old.
